The follow up to Eminem's 'Not Afraid'.
Spyke
I wasn't expecting to write this so soon but this is taking off as fast as Jay-Z and Alicia did with the second cut there, with the song already reaching #1 on US itunes and #3 here. With this raw and humbling song being based around domestic violence it seems quite apt to have Rihanna feature here. It's very simple and doesn't feature the regular Rihanna middle 8 breakdown or the Eminem intro as we've seen in the past; the track just alternates between the two doing what they do best.
So with Eminem looking to having his new album 'Recovery' at #1 this sunday and two singles in the top ten, the rapper is well and truly making his mark.
As for Rihanna this looks like another huge hit to join her long run of successful collaborations; Ne-yo, Jay Z, T.I. and now Eminem.
The video for this track came out last week and I must say that - I love it! Rihanna has really stepped up the quality of her videos since Disturbia at the end of the GGGB era, showing a much more mature and developed side to her work, plus as Lady Gaga has demonstrated that making an 'event' of a video can send the track to #1 (as was the case with Telephone earlier this year) so the duo have pulled out all the stops for this video. It features the one and only Megan Fox (Transformers) and Dominic Monaghan (Charlie from Lost) as well screen shots of both Rihanna and Eminem in front of a burning house. The video has caused quite the reaction; even breaking youtube records as 'The smash hit, produced by UK rising talent, Alex Da Kid, gained over 6.6 million hits in it’s first 24 hours, making it the Best 60 hour Gainer Rate in the history of You Tube'. Which is putting Kanye West's new promo video for Power to shame as that barely cleared 1 million hits in it's first day.
With Rihanna and Fox being two of my top 3 celeb crushes (along with Keira Knightly) and Charlie being one of my fave Lost characters; then this video is definitely my favourite video of 2010. After keeping it's #1 reign of the US charts for a month now the question is will the video be enough to edge the track to #1 here...

Esmée Denters Feat Justin Timberlake - Love Dealer
This is the third single to come from Esmée Denters's debut album, Outta Here.
McLovin
After the disappointment of Esmée's second single Admit It charting at 56, her guest vocal on Chipmunk's Until You Were Gone reaching number 3 in May quickly brought her back into the public eye. For this single they've brought in Mr. JT himself, her guru and co-writer on the majority of the songs for her surprisingly strong album (Bigger Than The World being the outstanding track). Although Justin does seem to duet with everyone, it always seems to result in success and I would be very surprised if this isn't a big hit. With a solidly catchy chorus and a nsync-ish harmony breakdown near the end, this offers something for fans of Justin's early work as well as his futuresex/lovesounds output. For Esmée, this puts her right back on track establishing her pop career and although it should have been the follow up to Outta Here, I'm hoping it gets the high chart placing it deserves.

Rihanna - Te Amo
This is Rihanna's follow up to the incredible Rude Boy, and is serving as the third single from her most recent studio album Rated R.
Spyke:
I've loved this track since it first leaked last July, and was thrilled to see that it made the cut on to Rated R, after being a bit sceptical about the choice of Rockstar 101 being released in the US I am so pleased we finally got a single release and video for the song. With it's hot, seductive scenes between Rihanna and french model Laetitia Casta this is another great vid from her long term director Anthony Mandler. After spending quite a few weeks hovering around #15 on itunes let's hope this song can get the surge it deserves and becomes another top 10 for Ri.

So here it is.....
Welcome to the first post of the most amazing blog the world has ever seen. It's been three years in the making; going from singing a bit of Busted in Mclovin's room with a guitar to raving it up to basshunter in Spyke's. We've seen several acts in the past ranging from East 17 to Tinchy Stryder. After spending many an hour on youtube and discussing the charts we thought we'd share our thoughts with you, so we hope you enjoy them...
